Within a scene. Often that’s about pacing; introspection or character development gets big chunks from one POV, but I wrote an action sequence recently where it switched literally every paragraph or two.

I guess it’s more what feels right at the time than any particular rules 🤷🏻‍♀️

and I’m using multiple POVs in that fic. I tend to pick the POV based on what I want the reader to learn in the chapter/scene, and who’s the best to show them that. It’s definitely not equal time for characters. I also switch at different times; sometimes a whole chapter, sometimes I switch it up -

These are such interesting questions… I’ve written both ways. Probably more single POVs, I like that in many respects because it doesn’t actually give everything away, leaves room for surmises about other characters actions and motivations.

Last season ran the spectrum from super sweet and fluffy to full on dead dove so it’s not necessarily all dark… totally get it if it’s not for you though 😊
