David Ehrlich, you wonderful grump. I will always delight in reading how much you hate things. (For the record, I haven’t seen it yet, but I worry that my affinity for the Wizard of Oz WON’T do this movie any favors. I liked the musical for what it was, but I couldn’t bring myself to read the book.)

I never read any Tolkien because I was scarred by the sheer boredom of the Hobbit animated movie as a kid. I genuinely liked the LOTR movies, but I was nearly an adult by the time they came out and never went back to read the books. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ll probably just wait until my kid is old enough for them.
