Here I am, 48, single, wrinkled and more content than I can describe having a quiet meal (and pint or 2) reading a book at my local pub.
Culture tells us what will make us happy, but life shows us a very different path.

Trying to grow accustomed to being alone. But I wish we were all better at being kind and supportive together instead.

I know the world is on fire, but my week’s sucked in a micro level.
Ended a 3 year relationship - and NOW he’s trying to step up, my mum was back in hospital for cancer treatment and the feeding tube is back in. I’ve been flat out with work, started leave and have no idea what to do with myself.
