We taught our kids to wear masks starting in 2020. I have one in 3rd, one in 1st and one who just started K. They do not get sick constantly at school, despite skipping the usual rounds of childhood colds. They wash their hands before lunch and snacks and eat lunch with their masks on. No covid yet🤞🏻

Like this, but the $100 version so it’s much larger.

My kids are 8, 6 and 4(!!!). Last year, my H and I asked them to pick one of our common dinner rotations and learn it. Since they’re so young, this includes frozen food. Now my 6 can make a frozen family pizza by herself, my 8 can make taquitos with sides, and my 4 can cook hamburgers & hot dogs!

I feel for you so hard! I hope it is at least a bit heartening to know that not all kids are having the piss poor experience you & so many others have had to suffer. My husband is also all in. I couldn’t be anything else. Seeing her absolute JOY the first time she got her hair cut… magic.

We gave her the terminology for trans and nonbinary. Right now, she identifies as nonbinary, and has selected the nickname Jules. But, as you can see from this 2nd Grade assignment, she’s still longing to be a boy.

My 6-yr-old daughter started kindergarten last year, found out there were 2 kids who only speak Spanish in her class, came home and proceeded to learn how to speak Spanish using Duolingo. They are all great buds now. She had her first dream in Spanish last night & I couldn’t be more proud of her!

#NoKings in Renton, WA. It’s just getting started!

Yes!!! My kids don’t get to go to discretionary places because of Covid, but they got vaccines at CVS at Target the other day. My husband texted: “They’re so amazed by how much cheese is here. It’s always like someone from 1960s Soviet Union visiting an American grocery store for the first time.”

I just deadheaded mine yesterday. Check carefully before you take off the old flower head because the new buds for next year are right under them.

A few weeks ago, we had ONE lightning strike in Renton (a Seattle sub) and the whole city damn near shut down. My daughter’s 2nd Grade teacher sent out a text through the app saying the kids wanted their parents to mark themselves safe. It was bananas. TLOU production team got this very, very wrong!

Had to send this to my kids. I call her Baby Monkey, or Monks, for short. She was born with a head of black/brown hair & I used to carry her all the time in a carrier on my chest. As she’s gotten older, she’s embraced it! She calls me Mommy Monkey. None of my other kids have a nickname like this.

THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT AISLE!!! And yes, the rest of the conversation proceeded in Spanish. This is not a language barrier issue. He just flat stopped responding to me after canceling almost half my order.

This man went to a Japanese grocery store and literally told me there was NO sushi nori in the entire store. NO SUSHI NORI. AT THE JAPANESE GROCERY STORE. Also, no wasabi peas, no roe, and no imitation crab. He’s not saying *my* choice doesn’t exist. Hes saying NONE. What in the honest actual fuck

Got one planter done, finally! Mostly lilies, of different sizes and colors. My nesting finch mommy came over to see if there was anything yummy for her baby birds in it, as soon as I got out of the way 🥰
