Been a kickass weekend already and it's only Saturday! Dancing and tarot at Dead Disko at Baba Yaga Seattle (new goth jewelry and boots!), Thing festival at Remlinger Farms with a new friend, and fresh new haircut! (Not pictured: boudoir dancing at Trinity Pole 💃!)

Knew this day was coming but wasn't expecting it quite so soon!

Abandon All Artichokes hit 1 MILLION PLAYS on BGA!!!! 🤩

Shout-out to artist Bonnie Pang, and Jason Schneider and everyone on the Gamewright team who made this happen 💜

So I started working on this song when I was about 16. 25 years later, with new guitar skillz and some added lyrics, I think it's sounding pretty good!

I'm not sure about the "fallen angels" part. I want something similar there but I don't know exactly what!

A lot of my life these days has been work and compulsively painting. Painting takes a lot of time but the results are worth it 🥰

Oh haha looks like I'll be cancelling my Prime Visa in addition to my Prime Membership since I won't be getting the cash back. AND Amazon is paying me! Triple win!

I have been practicing guitar but been sick for a while so didn't feel like recording 😅 But I'm feeling better! Added some fun photos because why not?

Times are tough right now but joy will help see us through 💜

The GDC talk went really well!! I was thrilled to see how many people care about making it easier to teach and learn board games. Excited to keep building on these concepts!

Getting ready for my GDC talk. Wish me luck!! 😁😅

Life has kind of sucked for me for the last five months because of something I'll be talking about in the future. I will say though that now I know what it's like for your life to fall apart and I know that I can survive.

#28 Someone Has Died by Adi Slepack, Liz Roche, and Ellie Black. This party/storytelling game about arguing over the will of someone you only kind of sort of knew is silly, fun and fantastic. More games about death please!

#27 Cockroach Poker. An excellent, simple bluffing game loved by kids, families, and silly groups of friends ☺️ Lying/bluffing in games is a great way to play with social norms in a safe space.

Abandon All Artichokes is at 900,000 plays on Board Game Arena. Can we hit a million???

#26 Dragon's Breath. Technically a kid's game but I had a blast playing it. A three year old taught it to me, and I swear we had more fun than he did. Light dexterity element (pull a ring to release a flood of gems). Predict the color of gem that will be most plentiful each round!

#25 Ready, Set, Bet! John suckered me into playing this a few years ago at SHUX and I'm glad 😁 Another real-time game - place bets as either a player or the app rolls 2d6 and moves horses based on the dice distribution curve. So simple to learn and good drop in/drop out gameplay!

#24 The Mind. Another game with a title that's hard to explain 😂 This game has been hit or miss with my groups, but I absolutely adore it. A cooperative, low communication card ordering game. The trick is to learn people's risk tolerance. When you synchronize with other people it feels like magic.

#23 Kites by Kevin Hamano. A relatively new addition to my collection, and a hit at Gen Con a couple of years ago. Real-time cooperative sand timer flipping is something I never would have thought of, but it works so good.

#22 Labyrinth! One of the earliest board games I can remember playing, when I was 9 or so visiting family in Norway (language independent play for the win!) The innovative tile sliding mechanic, light player interaction, simple mechanics and fun art still holds up today.
