Today is World Down Syndrome Day (3/21 for 3 copies of the 21st chromosome) and we "rocked our socks" in honor of one of my students and all people with DS. My kiddo contributed the colorful flower and kids from around Alaska contributed the other art on these awesome socks!

My so very sassy 17 year old perfectly torti kitty has started to act a little bit her age and I'm beyond scared that she is ready for the long sleep. But then she climbs to top of the dog bed pile for the best sleeping spot in the house while I'm cleaning and I'm not so sure. These kitties! 🖤

Doc is a loving older gentleman who is available for adoption in Alaska. He was an owner-surrender, was initially scared and skinny but love and good food has him feeling confident and looking beautiful.
Finding homes for older cats is difficult and they are usually euthanized in Alaskan shelters.
