Our dog is a Kerry Blue Terrier crossed with a Shih Tzu which is a pretty unusual mix, and as a result nobody quite knows what to do when it comes to grooming her. It’s always a surprise when we pick her up after a haircut. But no matter what they do, she is ALWAYS 90% head, 100% goober. 😍

It’s World Book Day today. My kid decided she wanted to dress up as Silky from the Magic Faraway Tree stories. 320 miles away, across the sea, my nephew – 4 months younger than my kid – independently decides that he wants to be Moonface from the same book. 🥰

Yesterday was THE BEST DAY. Seeing a book I edited in a @waterstones.bsky.social window was surreal in the best possible way. Could not be more grateful to @jamesbluecat.bsky.social @jamesspackman73.bsky.social and @moonflowerbooks.bsky.social for making this ex-bookseller’s dreams come true.
Back in February 2023 I sent my bosses this email. Now it’s February 2025 and I’m on a train to join @jamesbluecat.bsky.social in London to celebrate publication day of the “funny, clever, well-plotted, exciting, tightly-written” Pagans. AND I got to do the edit (that it barely needed).
