I don't think there's any one book that's a good representation of the entire series it's so varied & yet all so Pratchett! I just hope folks don't stop with The Colour of Magic!

Not a book I'd have recommended starting with either! Nonetheless I do love the Death books especially once you get to Susan.
Glad you enjoyed Colour of Magic, there are oodles of reading order suggestions out there if you like the premise of discworld & would like female characters skip ahead!

You don't start with The Colour of Magic it's like the first pancake it took him a moment to find his stride ... try the Witches, The Watch or the Death books first ... you could easily skip to Soul Music, or Men at Arms.

Aha yeah I've not been active on twitter for an age ... I hated when they ditched Tweetdeck ... Good to be back ... I know there's a "deck" option here (according to Google) so I should definitely look it up! Awesome to see y'all here!
