I agree about the attitude. Equally, it's appalling that someone working can't actually support themselves and/or their family, and rather than admit that capitalism is failing people, government will supplement their pay.
Essentially, government supplementing profit.

I think some of the electorate sees through it, many are "issue focused" though (small boats/immigrants/other demons- and the issues are being driven by the above.
Add all this to poor quality local and national politicians, and we have a serious problem.

What is endemic:
-Corporate influence on politicians (yes, that's not new, but it's been ramped up hugely)
- corporate/billionaire owned media
- "think tanks"/ shadowy orgs funding hate campaigns and supporting litigation.
-MSM platforms the far right All of this has a bearing

I had wasted quite a few letters in the first 2- and, ironically, not much else would fit.

The campaign to get rid of Sanchez has very little to do with the economy-indeed, how do people, particularly in the cities and rural communities here "feel". I suspect they don't feel better off.
The campaigns Sanchez speaks of will continue, irrespective of Trump, they're endemic now.

I'm concerned that some people "hate" The Clash.
