My recent article for the Belfast Telegraph on citizens assemblies.
84 citizens delivered 38 policy recommendations via an assembly model in November. Politicians already committed to launching one assembly a year, so where are they? Why is civic society having to launch them?

Such a joy to host Siobhán McSweeney in New York City for a special National Committee on American Foreign Policy luncheon.
Over lunch, we spoke about belonging, identity, resilience, representation, and building understanding North and South in Ireland. Siobhán is an inspiration, a trailblazer!

Calling all New Yorkers! Come join Siobhán McSweeney and I for this special March 5 luncheon. I'm excited to hear more about some place they call Cork, but even more so to discuss Siobhán's leadership, activism, and the role of the arts in peacebuilding. One not to miss.

Office view as I discuss Labour’s repeal of the Legacy Act on Good Morning Ulster.
This isn't about Adams. It's about addressing bad legislation that has been found to be unlawful in court. Wrong to frame it around one person, Labour will have to bring in line with the ECHR.

NI Secretary of State Hilary Benn is appealing the High Court order to carry out an investigation into the murder of Sean Brown. No words for how callous this decision is. His widow is 88. A lifetime fighting British obstruction to justice. I find it so utterly appalling.
