GUESS WHAT. I've got another book coming out. A VOW MADE TWICE is a queer, polyam #historicalromance set in the 1300s. After inheriting his father's title, Ash Barden needs to marry... but the memory of his long-dead lover still haunts him. Will he be forced to choose, or can a heart belong to two?

Okay. So. Full disclosure: I bought this like two years ago, a few months after Hartswood came out. Everyone recommended it. Everyone said "oh hey medieval m/m? READ THIS." And then I wrote two more books and my brain fell out and it was placed on the TBR. Until a couple days ago.

ohhh my gosh I usually don't comment on things unless I've been tagged but I just saw these and I HAD to pop in and say how awesome this is!! AND to show these off! I've got minifigs of all my characters so it's great seeing someone else into lego :D

I haven't seen #Arcane, I know extremely little about it, and I any understanding I *do* have of it is entirely through gifsets on tumblr. With all that said: WHY'S IT LOOK LIKE MY COVER THOUGH??

My sapphic historical romance (All the Painted Stars, came out this year!) features literal bodice ripping because I simply could not resist 😌

One more for tonight, as I don't wanna spam y'all too much: Here's a closer look at Raff's dagger, too. His is also based on 14th Cent daggers, but is a far simpler quillon. It's built mostly to be useful, not pretty, and is quite a lot shorter than Penn's. Good for deer. (Sorry, deer)

A closer look at Penn's dagger! It's based on a museum example of a 14th century rondel dagger. This thing is long and heavy - in my tiny hand, it feels a little bit like a small sword. But it's gorgeous and skinny and sharp, just like Penn.

Onwards! These two I was gifted - one for my birthday and one for Christmas. They are, as close as I could manage, replicas of Raff and Penn's daggers in Hartswood. Penn's is at the back and Raff's is at the front. Both are from Tod Cutler, as is most of my collection.
Two daggers sat on a bookshelf in clear stands. The furthest is a rondel dagger, and has a long, thin blade with a skinny bronze handle. It has a round, flat pommel and cross-guard. The one closest to the camera is a medieval quillon dagger with down-turned cross-guards, a wider blade and a dark red handle.

The first one I got, as a treat to myself for getting the contract for One Night in Hartswood. It's totally the wrong era and VERY inaccurate, but I love it a lot. The pommel opens up and you can hide a secret note in there. This one is a quote from the book 🗡

Ahh this is such a nice idea! Here are my Raff and Penn legos! The faces are custom from Minifigs.me, and the outfits are nicked from a couple of GoT figures they sold at the time 😅 (I now have custom legos for all seven of my MCs, but these were the first)

Part of my ongoing clean-up of my old twitter page is saving stuff I'm fond of. Deleting this one is particularly tough. This is the tweet that ended up getting me the contract for One Night in Hartswood (and then the two next books in the series). Fuck you, Elon.

My second book, ALL THE PAINTED STARS, is out now in the UK and out Nov 5th in the US. This one's about stealing your brother's armour and entering a tournament to save your bestie (who you're very much in love with, nbd) from being married to Some Guy.

My first book, ONE NIGHT IN HARTSWOOD, is out now, and is about running away the night before your wedding (with the brother of the woman you're supposed to be marrying). But it's fine, because neither of you *know* that, which makes all the fun barn sex you're having a-okay!!
