A Wellington is good, it’s an impressive centrepiece and goes with roast potatoes, cranberry sauce etc It definitely helps if you like mushrooms. I love the Bosh Christmas criss-cross recipe. Chestnut Bourguignon pie is also a winner. Or a lovely roast cauliflower with pilaf.

Completely agree. My son has had access to such a wealth of experiences growing up in inner London and our state schools outperform those in the rest of the country. However we're very lucky, lots of people move out so that children can have their own bedrooms and a garden.
