We have worked on various aspects of the organising of the conference from drawing up the theme of 'Borders & Boundaries', writing the CFP, programming panels and organising additional social activities for our 80 delegates.

Over the last nine months I have had the pleasure of working with the Student Committee comprising students from the three partner universities of the OOC DTP and spanning several disciplines within the Arts & Humanities.

It was such a joy to be apart of the student committee for the AHRC International Conference which took place at Queen's College, Oxford this week!

The conference brought together graduate students from the Open University, Oxford, Cambridge and seven international partner universities

It was such a joy to be back in Dublin for The Expansive Canvas - large scale forum in the music of 19th-century women composers hosted at @tcddublin.bsky.social and RIAM. A truly stimulating and inspiring three days of round tables, papers and performances!

This week I attended the 14th Biennial International Music in 19th century Britain Conference at the University of York. In addition to presenting a paper, I also chaired a fantastic panel on Female Singers featuring papers by @rosiecameronn.bsky.social and Jamison Hankins 📚🎶

I was also delighted to attend the Plenary Conference of the Society for Musicology in Ireland (SMI) held in UCD in the days following, which is always a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues and hear some exciting new research!

It was a joy to be back in my alma mater UCD School of Music, for a special symposium and concert marking the retirement of my former supervisor (and forever mentor) Professor Harry White as Chair of Music.

I was delighted to attend a fantastic study day on ‘Sound and the Country House’ hosted by Jon Stobart at @manmetuni.bsky.social with a keynote by Jeanice Brooks. Such a great day chatting about music and sound in historic houses!

I had a lovely day presenting a paper entitled ‘Women’s Musical Life in the Irish Country House: Insights from their Bound Music Books’ at the PGECR Country House Group’s annual conference in London yesterday! So many fascinating papers!
