Why wear one Bronze Age axe when you could wear three? This shiny silver combination is off to its new owner 😍

We've had a brilliant day at @rmoudheden.bsky.social for the 'Fires of Change' exhibition. A special thanks to Sasja for showing us around this morning and to Joanna for her @ansoc-erc.bsky.social talk on 'the social worlds of Bronze Age animals' this evening!

Thrilled to see my axehead trio being shown off by

We're looking forward to watching the rest of the series as the week unfolds.

A miniature Neolithic axehead in slow motion! With Christmas on the way, I've been working on a batch of mini prehistoric stone pendants. This one's a particularly attractive piece of Langdale Tuff, the same material prehistoric people used to fell trees over 5,000 years ago!

My replica of the Iron Age armlet fragment from Dunadd is off to @kilmartinmuseum. A great opportunity to work with one of the cannel coal samples I collected from the Fife coastline earlier in the year. I think it's safe to say this Scottish 'jet' lookalike stood up to the test!

Not all arrowheads are pointy! During the middle Neolithic (approx.3400-2600BC), people made arrowheads with a wide blade, facing forwards from the archer. Transverse arrowheads are thought to have been used for hunting birds and we think they make a great pendant with a subtle prehistoric twist!

We've been building up stock for the Christmas period!

I've got a limited run of hallmarked silver Barbed & Tanged arrowheads that are now available. There's just something about casting in silver that really makes these arrowheads stand out.
