I'm also finding myself adding things to my universe just for the reason that I find it fascinating. Much like the rule of cool.

It just goes to show how differently we all interact with the space we want to curate.

All is fair and valid, just so long it is done respectfully for other people's time and boundaries.

I know I've mass-followed a few starter packs, just because I like to always have something new on my dashboard that's related to my interests.

I've had to unfollow a few again afterwards because of clashing interests. Nothing personal against them at all.

Oh I has really been neglected my ships lately!

But I was really into Sceadu and Sigel back while I was working on their story. I still love them very much, and I think they are such a good fit.

Never have. Can't say I'm much into the idea of shipping my characters with other peoples.
I at least have to know someone well to be comfortable with the idea.

More often than not, my OCs just sort of happens when I make up some random, one-time sort of character design.
Then my brain demand they have a backstory.

Maybe I should note that my personal kind of power fantasies is not about being strong or powerful, but rather tab into the concepts of found family and overcoming hardships.

My OCs serve as an outlet of self-expression and indulgence in escapism and wishful power fantasies. Along with the world they exist in.
I also use them a lot to explore situations and concepts I find fascinating.
