I would suggest that until someone approaches your child and convinces them to turn ‘trans’, your family is best served by focussing solely on supporting them and empowering them to be the best versions of themselves. Peace out ‘bro’.

You do understand that these decisions are not made lightly and involve rigorous testing undertaken by a team of GPs, Psychologists, Social Workers, Endocrinologists and Surgeons? Perhaps not.

I can assure you sir that no parent ‘fucks with’ their kids and suggests transitioning. Why on earth would we willingly chose to subject our kids to the psychological and physical harm inflicted by ill-informed, opinionated bigots?

These decisions aren’t made lightly and “big pharma” is not out there promoting trans meds. Please educate yourself. More damage is inflicted on trans youth by people with little to no understanding of how rigorous this process actually is.

Absolute rubbish! Do you have lived experience of this? The first thing a supportive and proactive parent of a trans child does is recruit support network composed of GP, psychologist, pharmacist, endocrinologist and surgeon.

Where else can individuals and families go for healthcare now their GP doesn’t bulk bill? Urgent care clinics are severely under resourced and will often refer patients to ED anyway!

Levels of physical and verbal abuse of our clinicians and support staff are skyrocketing, and senior clinicians are leaving in droves. Throwing money at EDs for staffing and infrastructure is only one solution to a complex issue.

This is why the number of non-urgent presentations to ED is skyrocketing. We’re outgrowing our departments, and people are desperate and angry.
