As someone who is also Italio-phobic, and a Libs of TikTok hater, I can confirm that the NSA came to find me and offered me a super secret spy job so long as I transed my gender. 🤠

It's definitely a bit underwhelming. I'm amazed we haven't had any other media properties. The changes might bring back some players if their marketing is good, but I don't think they'll be healthy for the game long term.

I thought you only did satire...

It became one of my favorite games of all time, and the fact that there's constant support is just amazing. I really hope they put out a payable dlc or something, because I bought it on a steam sale for $20 like 4 years ago, and I definitely would have paid far more.

Anyways, that's the end of the thread. Idk why I wanted to make this, but it seemed nice since @playapexesports.bsky.social is inactive. Please let me know if you want me to do more coverage through the rest of champs! 🤠🧵

Who I'm looking forward to watching more:
Phony is proving himself as a top IGL again, so keep an eye on GUILD.
Genburten is just an unstoppable anchor player.
TSM are looking clean as a squad, especially Verhulst (Evan).
And of course, FNATIC, who are just dominant.

As for potential disappointments, Cloud 9, @disguisedgg.bsky.social (formerly Legends Gaming), and Complexity all end outside of the top 10, and FaZe ends 19th. All of these teams have the talent to bounce back, although for FaZe especially, this result was worrying.

Overall scores put @fnatic.com far ahead, cementing their strength to start this tournament. The entire top 6 looked very strong, with no major surprises.
January 29, 2025 at 3:59 AM
And as I was typing this, 100 Thieves cleans up the end zone, with Genburten leading the charge to win their second game, beating Complexity and Virtus Pro. That was game 6 at Thermal Station.
January 29, 2025 at 3:58 AM
100 Thieves, NRG, and TSM are proving themselves as LAN veterans, with all teams showing their mechanical skill and vast game knowledge. If Design can carry this momentum, 100T will be scary.

Koyful from @shopifyrebellion.gg continues to be the player to look for, as he is just too mechanically skilled to ignore, especially on Rampart. Meanwhile, all of @fnatic.com have really shown up to play, and can hopefully maintain their momentum.

Newcastle, Rampart, and Gibraltar is by far the most picked legend composition. The Gibby and NC combo continues to be unbeatable for making cover and providing safety for resets. Meanwhile, Rampart's ability to punish enemy mistakes makes her lethal.

Okay, since I'm watching game 6, let's go over some observations, teams to look for, and predictions. 🤠
