Ubisoft Trying Not to Suck Challenge: Impossible!
February 4, 2026 at 4:31 AM
So much to love in a two-and-a-half+ hour episode:

-Ralph's passionate thoughts on Silksong
-Resident Evil Requiem showing promise for Jake and Lucy
-Highguard's less-than-stellar launch
-The promising games from the Xbox Developer Direct
-And, of course, Jelly the Cat stealing the show! 😸

Looking forward to another year of gaming discussions, interviews, Show and Tell, Jelly the Cat stealing the show, and everything that makes the Friends Per Second Podcast the highlight of every other weekend!

And, of course, I look forward to tying my shoes and going to bed after every episode! 😉

It's almost time...the four legendary Friends Per Second Podcast stars-@skillup.bsky.social, @jakebaldino.com, @lucyjames.games, and Jelly the Cat-will soon return for another year full of gaming discussion goodness!

I'll be there the moment the first episode of the year goes live...mark my word!

I might be alone in thinking this, but I found the Sonic Boom games for the 3DS-which were developed by Sanzaru-to be pretty fun, it somewhat flawed, experiences. It is one of the many reasons why Sanzaru, along with Twisted Pixel and Armature-will be sorely missed.

So sad that this is the last we'll hear from Patrick...a wonderfully talented person who was taken from us much too soon. My condolences to Patrick's family and everyone on the TWIV/Skill Up team.
January 7, 2026 at 11:22 PM
Patrick was a part of the TWIV team for only a short time, but his love and passion for videogames was profound, and it showed in his contributions to the website. A wonderful and talented person who left us far too soon...may he rest in peace.
January 5, 2026 at 11:40 PM
I'd been enjoying Patrick's contributions to the TWIV website for the past couple of months, so his sudden passing comes as a huge shock. May he rest in peace, and my condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Vince Zampella...

...and my condolences to Vince's family, whose holiday season has just become a tragically sad one...😭

2025 has been a rough year for me, but thanks to the amazing FPS team of @skillup.bsky.social, @jakebaldino.com, @lucyjames.games, and Jelly the Cat, I know that I have found a podcast that helped me make it through this year.

Happy Holidays, you guys...see you in 2026! 😁

This is one of the reasons why becoming a TWIV supporter was one of the best decisions I made this year: this article does a fantastic job discussing the concerns about how A.I. can, and might, affect the current and future careers of human artists. @edmondtran.bsky.social did a top notch job here!

Or Concord 3 if Highguard (the not-so-grand final trailer from The Game Awards) fails hard when it releases next month.

I have all the sympathy in the universe for all those sacked employees and zero sympathy whatsoever for Rockstar...

...what good is the single most highly-anticipated game of 2026-GTA6-when Rockstar might be guilty of union busting and unfairly firing many employees and ruining their livlihoods?!
December 10, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Looking forward to seeing a similar article for all of the Game Awards announcements that will be coming our way soon...

...why do I get the feeling that the Skill Up/TWIV coverage of TGA will be more exciting and intriguing than the Game Awards themselves?

Looks like I'll have some tedious crystal farming to...um...look forward to when I check out Metroid Prime 4...

Yeah...I think it's time for CoD to take a long-and I mean LONG-hiatus!

If ever The Game Awards creates a nomination for Best Gaming Podcast, can I ask them to nominate the Friends Per Second podcast?

My prediction?

Ubisoft is cooked...
November 14, 2025 at 2:50 AM
Sega does what far too many other companies don't: raising employee salaries instead of unfairly laying them off!
November 13, 2025 at 3:15 AM
Why do I get the feeling that Bungie is either cooked or will be cooked if Marathon underperforms or is straight up cancelled?
