Is anyone interviewing these employees for the purpose of systematically preserving and archiving as much as possible of their institutional knowledge and insights to aid in reconstruction whenever sanity returns? If so, who? If not, why not?

100% shooting is wrong regardless of citizenship status. Reason for mentioning US citizenship is to make it harder for the reader to think "It couldn't happen to me because I'm a citizen." People should not believe they are immune and safe but should understand that everyone is at risk together.

Doesn't the episode end with T'Pau using her influence to get retroactive approval for the Enterprise to divert to Vulcan, even though the only one who would have faced consequences for the unauthorized stop was apparently dead? Seems like she not only wasn't fooled but was fine with the trick.

Be aware that you can get shingles if you've had the vaccine but if you do it is likely to be much milder than it would be otherwise, so still worth having the vaccine. Speaking from experience.

Cannot begin to understand why any Democratic senators are considering this nonsense. The elections last week showed that standing up for the American people wins support. Why on earth would they take that as a sign to give in? Don't do it. Please.
