Normally, I'd agree. But I do think Canadian patriotism has a different flavour at this particular moment. It *seems* to be more about rallying together and uniting rather than the puritanical identity politics > white nationalism > Nazis pipeline going on in the US right now.

Shapiro shows how deeply fucked up Gaiman's decisions were AND threaded the needle of exposing the power dynamics, the complexity of being a victim, and how this has all played out over years in Gaiman's work. Truly excellent writing and reporting. I know that was months of work!
