NICE have long admitted that pacing doesn't work, and in fact, just makes people worse. The whole decision to go after PIP claimants is just demonising disabled people, and pushing them further into poverty. This isn't Labour, this is Torys- in-Labour-clothing.

The higher numbers of people claiming it are likely to be long covid and people whose mental health has deteriorated as a result of covid. I can't believe they didn't see that coming.

There is not a correlation between people getting PIP and people not working. Taking PIP away, freezing it, lowering the eligibility for new claimants, is not going to magically up the numbers of disabled people being able to work.
