The arbitrator found: Live Summaries were posted in prime “above-the-scroll” homepage placements without human editing, outside the normal content system, and were not corrected despite containing factual errors, missing context, and violations of POLITICO’s Stylebook. Capitol AI Report-Builder generated 500-word reports, complete with headlines and citations to journalists’ bylined work, without any editorial review, despite containing “glaring errors” and misinterpretations that would not meet newsroom standards. In both cases, POLITICO failed to give the Guild the required notice or opportunity to bargain.

On X, Gov. Mike Braun thanked the vice president and said he and Vance discussed redistricting.

Democrats issued a statement on Vance's visit yesterday.

“Our message to Republicans is clear: if they try this in Indiana, voters will make them pay," said the statement attributed to state party leader Karen Tallian.
“The federal government is currently shutdown, veterans are going without services, thousands of law enforcement are working without pay, and tariff taxes are hurting Hoosiers. Despite this, President Donald Trump is sending his minion Vice President JD Vance to beg Indiana Republicans again to kiss the ring and fall in line. “Republicans are incredibly scared of facing the voters in the midterm elections in just a year’s time. They know that Hoosiers and Americans are feeling the pressure from rising healthcare premiums, shrinking childcare options, and tariff taxes raising costs and putting family farms in danger. "DEMOCRACY IS UNDER SIEGE across the entire country. Instead of working to solve any of these issues, Republicans are ignoring the voters and are rigging the lines in Texas, Missouri, Indiana, Florida, and Ohio in a desperate attempt to keep power. “Our message to Republicans is clear: if they try this in Indiana, voters will make them pay. A clear majority of Hoosiers are opposed to this blatant power grab ordered by Donald Trump. Hoosiers are still waiting: will Governor Braun and the Republican supermajority listen to them or the DC party bosses?”

I love that folks are replying to me with their thoughts but I have no say! The city is working on scheduling a meeting, stay tuned!
What’s next? Indy Parks is working with the Riverside Civic League to schedule a meeting for residents to learn more about the building’s future and the considerations that went into the board’s decision to demolish the property. The meeting is expected to happen in November.

It’s no secret that artists are my favorite people. I was a shy kid, and the first places I felt seen and heard were at Saturday art classes and then later at Herron School of Art and Design. What made it easy to connect to people there was knowing that all of us gluing, painting, drawing and sculpting were putting ourselves out there in a silent way. This is what makes the experience of seeing art by living artists and art by non-living artists different. When we visit an art gallery with new art, we can ask the artist about what they mean or tell them that they spoke to our emotions. Their art is an open conversation with the world. When we see art made by someone from a long time ago, we are looking to the past and maybe understanding something new about how someone saw the world. And so, with this list of art shows, I think about friendship and conversation. Every artwork is an opportunity to “listen.” Also, it’s an opportunity to ask ourselves if what the artist sees is similar to how we see the world. While we were putting together our story on Trump's first 100 days, I realized that I had at some point forgotten how we (the news media) even came to care about that period of a presidential term.

So I looked it up and wrote about it for our newsletter. Maybe you forgot too!
Reporter’s Notebook: Emily Hopkins In light of the 100th day of President Donald Trump's second term, we pulled together all of the stories detailing how his policies are already changing lives here. Which made me think: Why do we even measure a president's performance like this? While 100 is a nice, round number, everything else about it seemed arbitrary. Turns out, it's a bit of history that I'm sure I learned at some point and had since forgotten. The concept was introduced by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who in 1933 took to a fireside chat to reflect on "the hundred days which had been devoted to the starting of the wheels of the New Deal." During that time, Roosevelt pushed more than a dozen pieces of landmark legislation through Congress and launched entire agencies devoted to getting a Depression-stricken country back to work. News media, needless to say, was entirely different in the 1930s. But I wonder if the reporters felt as dizzy back then. — Emily Hopkins, reporter

I happened to see this photo on the day I was traveling to Amsterdam. I had a gut feeling that's where this coffeeshop and cat were located. I *computer enhanced* myself into a mission to find him.

It's the first thing I did when I got there.
