The work is inspired by Ferdowsi's 'Shahnameh', the national epic of ancient Persia - there will be an 'In Conversation' event on 21 October where Nazli, Dominic Brookshaw, Philip Bullock and I will be delving into the work's background, influences and inspirations...

'silk eternal' was written for the London Symphony Orchestra through the LSO Helen Hamlyn Panufnik Composers' Scheme, supported by Lady Hamlyn and The Helen Hamlyn Trust.
