I got a new work laptop this week and when Teams first opened I audibly screamed “why is it white” in the middle of my very caucasian open plan office
A little heavy handed on the themes but expected from a YA book I suppose. But to have a compelling story while catering to a veritable buffet of fan service is CHEFS KISS.
This will be adored by fans of the original trilogy and previous prequel. 4.5⭐️

Lead a waiata tautoko for the first time ever today, in a huge auditorium of like 800 people. It was a small thing, but felt like a huge step in the journey of reclaiming my whakapapa. Had to hype myself up hard.

Absolutely obsessed with that 3 week period in summer when all the bougie summer fruits are in season and I get to feel like a gluttonous king standing over a sink inhaling watermelon. Atp we basically have to remortgage the house to afford fresh produce but alas, worth it for this moment of joy

Anyway here’s Nutmeg, she’s the goodest girl and we recently discovered her slight limp is not a limp it’s actually just a swagger, who knew?!
