Bao @ Thanksgiving is one of our traditions now.

Fifteen times at least, I have baked this cake. It is delicious. Peanut butter chocolate. smittenkitchen.com/2008/08/choc... Maybe INTENSE isn’t the word one might choose for a lasting marriage, but this is our cake & it is something special.

If we are going to propose radical ideas in this new political climate, might I make the case for students being taught principles of logic? If it is not too soon, I suggest reading about the False Dilemma, an unnatural dichotomy that is used to create urgency in selecting between two bad choices.

Grief comes in waves. She would have ran up to me after this run; her bells tinkling. I miss her little self. Everything small we take for granted is actually as vast as the air we breathe. Life flows like electricity through mundane rhythms. Read The Gulag Archipelago. Think of your neighbors.

Apple pie. Nothing fancy. No recipe involved. I’m not using a scale because at this point I can see two cups. I can feel the pea-sized cool butter chunks. I can sense enough spice. It just needs ice cream or cheddar. #holidays #pie #home #baking
