Also Kavanaugh's argument that you can't make race-based stops but you can if it's in LA is very intellectually interesting

Justice Kavanaugh is wrong here that people legally in the US have been “promptly” set free after they show their status. A lot of examples of this not happening.

Like the Episcopal priest’s daughter getting arrested in NY, sent to Louisiana detention before press coverage brought her release

A cashier gave me this eye-catching quarter - turns out it depicts Jovita Idar, a Mexican American journalist. She worked for a Methodist newspaper, El Heraldo Cristiano

Kyle Snyder, Olympic gold medalist and a Christian who I profiled last year, was arrested in a prostitution sting last week :/ He posted this on X

This is sooo cool - all the work of our translation team on our pope coverage!

The State Department's statement to me on these cuts was interesting - "uninterrupted" is not true but anyway -

"not eliminating our commitment to vulnerable populations" is language I'm not used to hearing from the admin so far this year.

This is a very good graph. A historic win. 5 million fewer kids die annually now than in 2000.

But health workers I've interviewed think this trend line might be about to change.

Is Cardinal Dolan still going to sit on the White House Religious Liberty Commission when the White House is posting stuff like this?

Interesting debate going on in the NY legislature about legalization of MAID. Opposition coming from disability rights groups and chair of the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus - based on the idea that in a profit-oriented system, poor and disabled will be pressured

all news aside: being a 21st century US president is a strange job

We reported in Feb on a hospital in Tanzania whose funds for HIV meds for 300 kids were cut. They lost 6 staff too.
I heard today that they have raised enough from donors for meds for this month. They're not sure about next month
