It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as "war-torn" becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it's, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

Text from Google blog post on search : I wanted to share some insights on the data we're seeing, as well as more about our approach with Al in Search. Traffic trends from Google Search Overall, total organic click volume from Google Search to websites has been relatively stable year-over-year. Additionally, average click quality has increased and we're actually sending slightly more quality clicks to websites than a year ago (by quality clicks, we mean those where users don't quickly click back — typically a signal that a user is interested in the website). This data is in contrast to third-party reports that inaccurately suggest dramatic declines in aggregate traffic - often based on flawed methodologies, isolated examples, or traffic changes that occurred prior to the roll out of Al features in Search. So what's going on? With Al Overviews, people are searching more and asking new questions that are often longer and more complex. In addition, with Al Overviews people are seeing nore links on the page than before. More queries and more links mean more opportunities for websites to surface and get clicked. Harvard's endowment may help it weather some of the financial fallout. But university leaders are often stringently averse to tapping into these funds, worried about drawing down funds they will need in the future. At Harvard, roughly 80 percent of its endowment funds are limited to specific purposes. Still, in its most recent financial report, Harvard said that there were billions of dollars that it could tap "in the event of an unexpected disruption." Columbia's experience in recent weeks made it clear that any path the university chose seemed just as likely to lead to ongoing turmoil, and the Trump administration's continuing treatment of the Ivy League university unnerved officials at Harvard, who feared the White House would renege on any agreement. Lee C. Bollinger, who was Columbia's president for 21 years, said on Tuesday that a strategy of "negotiation and conciliation seems to have no acceptable ending point."

Consistent with this protocol, our longstanding practice, and the practices of cities and institutions throughout the country, the University requires that law enforcement have a judicial warrant to enter non-public University areas, including residential University buildings. Tonight, that threshold was met, and the University is obligated to comply with the law. Our University Public Safety was present at all times. Columbia continues to make every effort to ensure that our campus, students, faculty, and staff are safe. Columbia is committed to upholding the law, and we expect city, state, and federal agencies to do the same. I understand the immense stress our community is under. Despite the unprecedented challenges, Columbia University will remain a place where the pursuit of knowledge is cherished and fiercely protected, where the rule of law and due process is respected and never taken for granted, and where all members of our community are valued and able to thrive. These are the principles we uphold and that guide us every day. For students in need of support, I've included a list of University resources below.
