I love these gallery maps at Leeds City Museum.

They are great for preparing you for what to expect and explains any access resources.

Previous maps even included content and trigger warnings for specific areas.

Such a simple way to embed accessibility into exhibitions.

It was an honour today to attend and speak at @museumsassociation.org 'All Inclusive: Championing Accessible Museums'.

Thank you to everyone who came along and to everyone who shared so openly both speakers and attendees!

It's #NationalPetDay so here is my cat, Tilly.

She likes to 'help' me when I'm working and loves to introduce herself in an online meeting!

Someone is keeping me company whilst I work today!

She has finally finished attacking the Christmas tree so hopefully I can focus now.

When I'm not working I enjoy visiting museums, heritage sites and theatres.

I also enjoy spending time with my cat Tilly, who this year has discovered a love for online conferences!

Fab trip to Harewood House yesterday for their Christmas event, 'Mischief at the Mansion'. The house looked stunning!

We visited at a time when it would be quieter which also made for a more accessible experience!

Loved seeing this example of embedding accessibility into a gallery at Hat Works last month. Access tools that are readily available without asking as well as having multiple ways to engage helps to increase accessibility.

Today marks 4 years since I received my Autism diagnosis.

From the Zoom link being sent late to the format of the assessment changing during the session it wasn't an accessible process.

Receiving this diagnosis made my whole life make sense. Being autistic is something I'm really proud of.
