Who prepares samples??

There is a bigger world out there after you step out of the current comfort zone. You will never lose the knowledge you accumulated. Instead you will find a better use of it in a different way. Plus, you expand your comfort zone! There is so much to learn and to experience!!

I don’t think we should use the term NGPS as the proteomic equivalent to NGS unless these new technologies can achieve large-scale sequencing.

We tried to automate loading Evotips on Hamilton robotics, but could only made it work with a homemade tip adapter. Our conclusion was that Evosep needs to invest resources to redesign their tips and make them compatible to automation. So I am not surprised that Opentrons couldn’t get it to work.

AI mistake?? A human would have caught that😝.

Wow, did not know it is possible! Sorry to see that 😵‍💫.

Never send any samples without a box!

Have you ever consider rate-controlled freeze and thaw out samples?

Furthermore, how do we verify the gains are real and meaningful? Count me in as a grumpy old woman I guess🤣

The number of proteins one can identify will depend on the technique and instruments.

In my opinion, it is the method and intent of the study. If you affinity enrich a target, it is immuno-precipitation. If you fractionate, you are looking at a subproteome unless you merge data from all fractions. If you look at the whole lysate, it is the proteome.

Some companies out there are making synthetic antibodies for sure. Just hard to scale up…

It is a buzz word to get people’s attention😁. We hope they are more precise for individuals but not scientifically precise😜.

I don’t think mass spec as a technology has over promised and under delivered. On the other hand, the promise of delivering biomarkers by mass spec has been made mostly without clinical perspectives. As a research tool, it is irreplaceable by the next generation of proteomics platform.

PMS is real! It is not in our minds😔.

Raw data don’t change. Software analysis changes your interpretation 😔.
