I will add that my frustration is more on my own district not promoting their own staff at such events. We have 3000 staff across 60 buildings. We’ve got some really talented people that could/would do the given time to prepare and compensation

If you have access to Ken Burns' "The West" Episode 7, the Geography of Hope has a wonderful Exoduster segment. It is very short, but the imagery and storytelling is so good. I've used it for years with my 7th graders.

Really accessible (middle level) lesson connecting the exoduster movement to Kansas using these testimonies. They are powerful
