With zero interest in BTC or any digital currency like that, I demanded real money. They honeypotted with an offering of both my and my friend's money, presenting a screenshot making a claim that it had been sent.

The red flag flew high when they suddenly claimed to not have a PayPal at all after I wanted out. They demanded I setup a CashApp and then demanded the "refund" be done in Bitcoin.

It should be noted that the scammer in question insisted on putting my personal life and needs aside to deal with the exchange of money on their terms. This was part of the parasitical power dynamic showing itself in this relationship.

The rapport continued, with my sending an additional $50 on behalf of a friend who needed help affording the con room. I won't give their details here in public. How they deal with this is their business.

They made many reassurances that the room was real and provided Hug stickers as part of that language of trust.

In addition to asking for money in PayPal via Friends and Family, they also claimed to have multiple PayPal accounts with the initial one I sent money to somehow becoming inaccessible.
