Wow it's been two months since I finished an anime? I've been watching some mid stuff so I dropped it. I finished this recently but only just now remembered this thread.
It gives me From the New World Vibes. It's very mysterious, maybe a bit too much at times.

It's a show filled with plenty of laughs and a good dose of emotional moments. I watched it because everyone (and especially one of my friends) was talking about how good it was

Even while knowing broadly what's coming next the intrigue is still there and draws you in.

I recently completed another watch of Sora no Woto with a friend. It remains an unrivaled masterpiece. There are a lot of little details in this show and I think that's part of what makes it so fun to keep rewatching.

I watched this one earlier. It was another anime that was almost good. They had too many characters but they did like splitting the team into two groups to mitigate this.
The characters were not that strong outside of their focal episodes. Except Klaus, who was usually solid.

What to say about this anime? It's got a very strong foundation, an interesting premise and world. There are a few aspects of it that are gross for no reason.
Moving past that, I found myself wanting more than the anime delivered.

I forgot I finished this this year! I watched this with some friends and I gotta be honest, I wasn't expecting much. But it was not only fun, but good. Like, good good.
I think if you just embrace the kinda silly tone you'll have a good time.

Like Mushi-Shi, this is another anthology series. Though unlike, Mushi-Shi the show is a lot more concerned with Violet as a character.
The series largely lives up to the hype, it delivers a lot of really good emotional moments.

Mushishi is an anthology series so each episode focuses on a different person/people. Something that I realize can't be easy to do.
But Mushi-Shi is excellent at this. Most of the stories are really good and even the ones that are more on the dud side are still good watches

What can I say about this that I didn't just say about Hitori Bocchi? If you liked one, you'll like the other. Bocchi the Rock does the same thing but it's a lot more creative in how it portrays Bocchi's anxiety.
There are moments when Bocchi has a spike of arrogant confidence

Again, an anime I already watched but I think I finished rewatching it earlier this year. Who knows. Anyway, WataMote crawled so Bocchi could run.
I just think a show that is centered around silly anxiety issues is good actually. Having a show make fun of anxiety is important I think

This anime was almost a masterpiece. It has the elements of a really good anime there, from the premise to the themes. But it doesn't do anything particular well and the characters don't stand out.
It will leave you wanting but I still had a good enough time watching it.

But JFC, the WWII imagery and references. You could remove all of these unnecessary things and the anime would be fine.
