Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Doshin the Giant the other week. 🙂 Personally, I think this is better when viewed as art rather than a video game. I found the gameplay very slow and boring, there's literally a part where you just stand still for 5-10 minutes. 💤

It wasn't required for 100% but I obtained a high score on every tournament level.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Worms Blast the other week. 🐛 Whoever designed the last level can go to hell, otherwise this is a fairly decent puzzle game and very flash game-like. There's very little reason to consider this a 'Worms game' but it's still fun.

I beat the game several times to unlock all the difficulties / modes, the bonus costumes and the infinite ammo weapons, finishing with Invisible Enemy mode for funsies. I also obtained both best endings and completed the map with each character at least once.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Resident Evil two weeks ago. 🔫 There's no doubt in my mind why this game is so well received, the atmosphere, controls, puzzles and overall design were outstanding. This is definitely one of the best I've played thus far! 🥺

I only 'finished' this because I didn't unlock every court in Exhibition Mode. It's ambigious how you unlock these and it could take me up to 20+ hours of high-RNG gameplay to figure it out so... I'll pass. Unsurprisingly there is almost no information about this game online. 😂

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Pro Tennis WTA Tour last month. 🎾 I only got through this by mastering a technique that worked against all CPUs, otherwise this is insanely hard. Aside from that the game is extremely stale and has just one mode: play tennis.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse on Sunday. 🐁 This was just... ass. I'd have found this extremely boring even if I were a child. Being unable to skip the lengthy animations / cutscenes made things even more painful.

You don't unlock anything unique when you beat the game with a given character so I felt that doing an 100% run just for one would be sufficient. Getting maximum stats wasn't required, I just wanted to do it. 🥺

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Aggressive Inline this week. 🛹 I really enjoyed this, the controls felt intuitive and the vibes were great. The level designs were very fun, they definitely focused more on platforming than (say) Tony Hawk games.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished ZooCube last week. 🦊 This game is crazy, the puzzles are reasonably fun but there's very little going on aside from four repetitive modes (three of which are basically impossible without pause buffering).

This was ridiculously difficult even on the easiest setting, I had to use the 'infinite health' option to clear Survival Mode. This felt like cheating but technically it wasn't, the option isn't described as such and was locked behind beating the boss rush (which I did normally).

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Capcom vs SNK 2 EO last week. 👊 This was fairly meh, the character and control options were very diverse but otherwise there wasn't much else happening. There were basically just two modes (ignoring multiplayer).

I spent half of this run grinding for complete Copy / Transform options for every card. This wasn't necessary for 100% but I did it anyway because I just liked the game. ☺

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Lost Kingdoms last month. 🧙♂️ This was great fun, the combat was engaging and the card make it very replayable. This would have been a perfect 5/5 if it weren't for the short story and lack of post-game.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Gauntlet Dark Legacy over the weekend. 🪓 This game fucks, I loved the arcade vibes and had fun with the mechanics. One day I would like to get the true multiplayer experience, perhaps on a real arcade cabinet. 🥺

I say 'finished' because I did everything in the game except 100% it. The challenges have very tight lap requirements which appear to be frame perfect. It's beyond the scope of this challenge to do things this difficult, but who knows? Maybe I'll return to this someday...

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, 'finished' F1 2002 the other week. 🚗 This is quite extensive for a sim racing game but I found it boring, I'm completely disinterested in F1 and racing. The races themselves were trivial because there was no penalty for going off-track.

Took a hiatus from my 100% GameCube challenge to finish a Mario Party DS playthrough I started a while back, takes a lot of grinding but I got there. 🥺 One of the collectibles requires you to get 50+ stars in a single game of DK's board.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished SSX Tricky this morning. 🥇 This had fantastic vibes and great controls but the level designs weren't very good. This took so long since it required 12 playthroughs, it also crashed at least 5 times.😩 "IT'S TRICKY, IT'S TRICKY!".

Here are the second half, also this is yet another occassion where online guides list unlockables that don't exist. Apparently you can unlock seal and penguin teams, but an 'unlock everything' cheat code confirms this is incorrect.

Being a Midway game it came with a lot of goofy teams you could unlock, here are the first four. Rant Time! Why the fuck can't sports games just tell you how to play? Is it really that hard to do? The instruction book explained shit. 😤😤😤

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished RedCard two weeks ago. ⚽ The controls were extremely unclear and the CPUs were brutal. Once I figured out the controls it was... okay, admittedly a bit better than some of the previous football games! 🤔
