The idea that everyone in an org has to be in “total alignment” before critique is valid is nonsense.
No one’s claiming a formal merger between PLACE NYC & Moms for Liberty. What’s being called out is functional alignment: shared language, tactics, goals, & silence in the face of hate.

You initially framed your argument as a “both sides” call for balance which implies moral & causal parity between Hamas & Israel.

But that framing wasn’t about fairness but a double maneuver to sound reasonable & then assign all practical blame to Hamas. That’s not ethics, that’s an inversion.

1/ Families for New York exploits Black and brown students’ struggles to build their brand, and to push punitive policies and privatization—perpetuating segregation under the guise of “advocacy” via means that echo the logic of slavery in function, not metaphor.

This is pathetic damage control. My kid gets pushed out of Sage because Sage & D28 superintendent refused to give us a legally required student safety plan though she was getting sexually harassed, repeatedly hit, & hit while called the “N word,” “f*ggot,” & “tr*ns”
