For anyone confused, the 3DS still allows you to redownload anything you've previously bought, plus I recall Pokémon Bank still works, the 3DS wasn't ever completely cut off from online

Besides blind rage to get paid on Twitter, the only logical thought I can think of their reasoning is they think somehow it's gonna be Other M 2 (which from my understanding, a lot of people hate Other M)
