2022 v 2024.

I’ve taken a sabbatical from the gym until the beginning of the year. It honestly has been good for me. I have softened up and curved out in the right ways, so I can focus on toning rather than muscle building when I go back.

I made this little clutch for a younger soror so she had a cute little pencil holder to throw in her backpack. You can never go wrong with pink, green and pearls for us.

Throw a pearl button on it and watch them walk out of your shop! 🤣

There are AKAs out here who love coffee and would buy them in a heartbeat. It’s me! I am AKAs who coffee.

I got a “thank you for being a good cook just like mama” (referring to my granny). I had to walk away so I didn’t cry.

I think most homophobia in women is rooted in insecurity. That homophobic women see gay men as more “competition” for the available men of the world. That burning back of mind question of “what is so bad about me as a woman that a man would rather be with another man than with me?”

I told my friends that it felt like I had been knighted. Lol. Becoming a torch bearer and guardian of a family tradition is a high honor. And you know “we” don’t just trust everybody to make the food on thanksgiving. It ain’t the time to be messing around. So getting that trust was special.
