Wow, hadn't seen Campbell Scott in a while. The paternal genes are really asserting themselves these days.

None of it is even remotely funny anymore, but credit where it's due, the recurring claim by TFG that he ended the long conflict between Cambodia and Armenia -which I'm sure will come as a surprise to both countries - legit cracks me up every time he says it.

Portrait of a cat who has triumphed (for today) in evading a wellness trip to the vet.

Watches are my indispensable accessory, I love them! (Clocks too, but bulky to carry around...) At some point I acquired so many that I got one of those nifty compartmentalized watch cases to store them in. Here are four of my favorites!

If the paparazzi and stan photos from the location shoots of The Devil Wears Prada 2 are to be believed, it's a movie entirely about fashion-forward people walking out of buildings and crossing streets, sometimes while talking on the phone.

Man, Bernie Telsey is spinning that theatre Rolodex like a particle accelerator this season. #GildedAge

My mom used to describe a certain kind of person as SMEEVY - I think it was a coined word, a cross between "smarmy" and "skeevy," I've never heard anyone else use it, but I think of it every time I see Mike Johnson. The smeeve is strong with that one.

It's probably not officially in the etiquette books because it seems like something you shouldn't have to say, but I'm pretty sure that if you're dropping bombs on somebody you should take off your f****** hat.

Showing the exterior balcony of the London Palladium to Jamie Lloyd is like showing the moors to Emily Brontë.
From a dramaturgical standpoint I honestly kind of love this.

"The heights are aliiiive
With the sound of wuthering..."

What exactly is going on with the costume design here, Emerald Fennell?

Man, Stanley Tucci is really living his best life. And quite possibly several other people's best lives as well.

(New series streaming on Disney/Hulu/NatGeo).

Of the 29 "Legends of Broadway" photos by Mark Seliger for this week's edition of NY Magazine, these two might be my favorites: Bill Daniels, 98, still standing for independency as John Adams in 1776; and the unsinkable Dick Van Dyke, 99, as Albert Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie. Standing O, gentlemen!

Happy 213th B'day to Charles Dickens, possibly the only author who could legit get away with referring to himself as "The Inimitable" without being punched in the face, and one of the people from history I'd invite to my fantasy dinner party. He rates some special editions in my library! #BookSky

Getting a little surge of irritable scraper posts on other feeds saying things like "what would you do if you got on a plane and found you were sharing a row with THIS."

Well obviously I'd hope it might want to sit in my lap. In fact, I would probably pay extra to sit next to that cat.

May one inquire please, who was lobbying for a 110 minute version of Long Day's Journey Into Night? Mr O'Neill would like to know who to haunt.
