I don’t work on ”eye contact” for the sake of eye contact, but here as just another behaviour than ”go for the hand that holds the treats”. Twiggy is learning that doing stuff leads to treats and she’s learning my verbal marker. And theme of the week is shifting between treats and toys!

She’s still outraged at some of Twiggy’s puppy antics - the evening rush, chewing on stuff decidedly not for that purpose, growling while playing (have you HEARD?!?) - but they explore together, play a bit and rest in proximity.

Pupdate: Good morning! Twiggy slept until 4:20 AM. Went out into the dark garden and listened to the blackbird. Fell asleep again and then had breakfast. SHE’S SO HUNGRY! And she thinks the food runs out way too fast. Then she walks around grumbling like a disgruntled fluffy guinea pig😂 🐾

Things that move, make noise? Whatever. Climbed to the top of the compost heap and watched the bus pass (she’s never seen one). Calmly climbed down, grabbed a leaf and walked around the garden with me. Then realized the compost heap is like the best combo of a mountain and a slide 😂 🐾
