In your respective field, post a photo and teach us all one small thing. I just posted about activated charcoal, because Medical Toxicology is a fascinating field and the microscopic photos are great and help explain the absorption.

Activated Charcoal (aka activated carbon) is charcoal exposed to very high temperature, causing it to become super porous. "One teaspoon of activated charcoal has more surface area than a football field."
This makes it extra capable at absorbing, although not great at absorbing everything. #ToxRocks
