Ugh, I feel that. I just read about something called "functional freeze" where you just kind of turtle after periods of long stress and/or trauma and I just don't know how we're not all constantly in a state of functional freeze all the time these days

I just got to meet my brand new niece today; she was born yesterday! Everyone's happy and healthy and she's beautiful

You get used to it when you have to, but mostly I just try to let my car heat up and then take my coat off while driving (or just run out to the car with the coat in my arms and wait to put it on until i get where I'm going). The key is to leave your gloves and scarf on, imo
