And no, of course noone "wants to become self-destructive" or "lets the world make them self-destructive", but it can be difficult to stay mentally well, especially if one has other things on their plate additionally, that doesn't make someone weak.

There is a tendency for smart, sensitive and empathetic people to struggle with keeping mentally well, they are very aware of what is going wrong and what is happening to people and also understand how monumental and practically insurmountable many of these problems are.

There is plenty of very old, very stupid people unfortunately. It doesn't take a genius to stay clear of traffic and go to a checkup now and then, but it takes a dumbass to not become a bit self-destructive upon realising the kind of world we live in.

Because on other social media this kind of content is not what does well and gets picked up by the algorithm. Make a new YouTube or Tiktok and scroll for 2 minutes and you'll see what does well on there, it's hideous.
