Recently took a peek at Twitter and the disinformation is getting substantially more dangerous. Someone could get killed.
The tactics of constantly repeating outright lies, targeting specific people, repurposing years-old footage and presenting them as new is getting to another level. It’s scary.

I can’t recall if I were in highschool or college when I read this for school. But rereading it as an adult hits differently. I feel like we’re right on the precipice of experiencing the history detailed in chapter 28 in real life.

Today is the 1st Hearing for OH HB556 which would allow school librarians and some teachers to be charged with felonies for promoting or providing “obscene” material (The bill does not define “obscene” or “obscenity”).

In an effort to better understand how we got here and figure out a course of action to move forward, I put aside my normal go-to interests and grew my TBR list by about 70 titles. These are the first three I tackled last week. I’m open to further suggestions to be added to the list.
