I think about this question a lot. Jordan’s feminist lens was strongly informed by the second wave, which is (more) compatible with essentialism than 3rd and later waves. But there’s some textual evidence he was on board with more contemporary feminism as time went on.

I feel the weight of my many past nanowrimo failures sometimes, but there’s something really cathartic about starting a new project that really helps relieve that weight. Every year you have more experience to bring to the table!
