Favorite signs group #4 from the Champaign-Urbana, IL, No Kings Day event on 10/18/25 (always happy to see a Lebowski reference… the Dude would not let this unchecked aggression stand without comment, man). #NoKings

I’ve got to assume Paramount outsourced this depiction of Stallone to AI? If so, they should have invested in a human artist. (If not, they hired a sucky human artist.)

Despite MSI Reproductive Choices repeatedly offering to take over the distribution of $10 million worth of birth control supplies, which had been destined for low income countries under USAID, the Trump admin destroyed them, “an operation that was estimated to cost $167,000.” Cruel & stupid.

Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. We had more than 2K in our town, with many bold, creative, powerful, &/or funny signs, lots of joy, and no fear or violence

Champaign-Urbana, Illinois had a couple thousand at least! Hard to capture in one shot, but I hope someone got an aerial view…

I'm thrilled to have my poem "Prayer to Somus" in the most recent issue of Notre Dame Review. It's a particular honor to be published in the same issue as Dorothea Lasky, whose poems in the issue are striking and complexly evocative.

In my medium-sized Midwestern city yesterday, more 1,000+ people came out in steady rain to an event organized by a local grassroots group sprung up from scratch since Trump’s inauguration, one of a large handful of actions I’ve attended or know of in my community. None have been covered by media.

A lot of people in the US are standing up and rallying and marching, and it’s not getting coverage by the media. Reach out to media you follow and ask them to cover the protests coming up on April 5! We definitely need more, no question. But there’s *a lot* going on.

This guy is a bad businessman. He’s going to tank our economy. Someone is making money off these ludicrous decisions, but it’s not 99% of Americans.
