SpaceX and Tesla are saying that they're seeing lower quality candidates interviewing for jobs these days... and immediately blame colleges and the students. Not the fact that smart grads want to work ANYWHERE else.

Engineering dude Chris Stanley from SpaceX/ExTwitter: "In the process of interviewing hundreds of individuals this year, not limited to potential new hires, I've discerned a notable trend: a general lack of work ethic and broad expertise. Many seem content with narrowly defined roles and showing little interest in stretching beyond their comfort zones. I screen for individuals who not only possess a 'full stack' view, encompassing networking, low-level systems understanding and software development skills, but also an obsessive drive to work hard. This tireless dedication, combined with a wide-ranging skill set, is exceptionally rare yet absolutely essential for progress."
