That's foreshadowing that really needed to be in some line of mandatory dialogue.

That said, what happened to the old JRPG spirit of examining every possible thing that you can interact with? Shame on you detractors who don't click on everything!

So because the prologue is functionally separate from the rest of the story, I can use a third person narration (to distinguish itself from the first person voice) to sprinkle in all the foreshadowing and suspension of disbelief because I'm no longer restricted by first person limitations. 4/?

For example, one of my stories is written in first person. The narrator knows only so much and finds out as the story progresses. But given the nature of what she learns, it would come out of nowhere when viewed only through her point of view. 3/?
