Don’t parents know how rotten you feel with measles? I remember ears burning and itchy beyond belief. And scared of losing my hearing - many childhood illnesses caused deafness among other lifelong issues. Crazy that parents who don’t want their kids to suffer any discomfort think okay to get sick.

Our local Salvation Army is not like this but I do know that the vast majority are like that. Check what your local actually does especially if you live in a more rural or small town area. You might be very surprised how your community members are running it - I donate directly to them.
