Purdy's is great and ethical. They have vegan chocolate (great for people with dairy allergies), you can order assorted chocolate gift boxes with braille for visually impaired customers, and they're legitimately delicious. If price is a problem, stock up on post-holiday chocolates at a discount!

Who is your comment directed at then? Everyone who engages in feminism wants to gain something from it, namely equality. Are you thinking of a specific type of person? Or is this a form of movement gatekeeping? Demanding absolute purity and perfection in progressive movements is self defeating.

I don't think Americans understand how much Canadians enjoy a good fight. How we steel ourselves and roll up our sleeves and do what needs to be done. Organizing, resisting, ridiculing bullies, tossing down gloves and hurling some punches. All the sacrifices in WW I and II have left a cultural mark.

My partner has recently fallen down a rabbit hole of restoring non-mint Star Wars action figures for dioramas and stuff. And he's discovered friends who are also raiding their childhood collections and buying new/used stuff and it really feels like it's model train collecting for middle-aged dudes.
