Well, out of all the Straw Bear's we have gone to, this must rank as one of the best for us. Not only did we debut our new-look banner, but we also presented three new dancers with their 'congratulations on your first dance-out, you're really and truly one of us now' rosettes. Three at once is a record for us 🙂

NHS England is rolling out software to run our health records from Palantir - fight back

It's that time of year again! When the fields un-freeze and the plough-boys should be going back to work, it's time for one last festival after Christmas - Plough Monday. Traditionally, this is more of a molly than a morris event, but these days any chance to dance is welcome to everyone, so the morris dancers are out too. Our friends Mepal Molly are out today, because today is Plough Monday itself.

A lovely Boxing Day dance out. This one is always good because people are so glad to be out and about, and members of the public always seem to be so glad to see us. (Not always the case.) We danced for about an hour, lending out our Foreman to Coton and Sutton Masque (he got maybe one break over the entire hour,) and our Squire to Sutton Masque as needed.

LOL! The title might seem a little vain, but I think that the people who spent their whole weekend dancing, from about 11 in the morning 'til 4 o'clock at night, in cold, damp, and sometimes even actively rainy weather, deserve to feel a little smug about it. This weekend (6-7th of December 2025) the Riot were out dancing at Mill Road Winter Fair (on Saturday) and March Christmas Fair (on Sunday).
