I’ve got one in college now, one on the way next year and a middle schooler looking at early college during the high school years. This story makes me so sad. I cannot imagine.

What’s really going to piss me off is the blanket preemptive pardons surely on the way for all these criminals.

Don't forget: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stated that federal employees "do not deserve their paychecks" and that their positions are "not real jobs".

She’s my rep in Greensboro and I’m sitting in the shadow of Grandfather Mountain near Boone (2.25 hour drive) at the moment and she’s the rep out here too. Take a look at the gerrymandered map to see how.

Why exactly is an oath of office being read at a football game? Asking for a friend who hasn’t read every reply here.

I was diagnosed with a thing at DC children’s hospital and NIH picked me up on a clinical trial and I’m old now.
So there’s that.

In addition to the abhorrent pardons that are certainly in the works, I'm wondering when the preemptive pardons will start flowing.

Oh, great. Now we’ll have to sit though a years-long appeal process. /s

I had a moment there before coffee #2 had fully kicked in…. Gertz is too close in spelling to Gaetz.

You smoked this topic just now. You are correct, regardless of the outcome, justice will not be served .

How long before he goes after Walter Cronkite?

Damn, I didn’t know Steven Miller had a cameo in that movie.

I can’t help but reflect on the fact that there are people sitting in an office somewhere (or on a bed in a basement) coming up with this stuff.

Public health policy determined by public opinion and not science. What could go wrong?

I’ve got a middle schooler whose class is doing a field trip to DC this fall. Middle schooler, mom and I are all on the same page: we will take a separate trip when there is a new administration with policies that align with constitutional values.

I don’t know if it’s relevant, but I used to go into DC at night all the time as a teenager to see bands in some pretty sketchy places. I’m still here to mark myself safe from actual higher crime in DC in the 1980’s.

I keep thinking about when Trump and Vance were telling him in the Oval Office that he “didn’t have the cards,” “say thank you,” “wear a suit,” Zelenskyy was thinking to himself, “Just wait MF’ers.”

Son diagnosed on the spectrum. Straight-A, AP/honors HS grad with more honors/activities asterisks on his grad program, you need a code breaker to decipher them all. He is a straight-A ROTC cadet at college, small business owner and he wrote a check 2 days ago for taxes on his investment gains.

And the coffee machine. Don’t forget the coffee machine.

We received a memo about a month ago about confirming who is on your online meetings (DoD). I suspect we will have another mandatory training on the topic now. This is how these things usually percolate downward.

Right! I’ve asked this question too. In doing this are they trying to remove just the votes on that race (bad enough) or on all the races on the ballot? And in that case were they going to go back and see if that affects any other race? (Me: NC resident)
